No Beta Weekend Event this month does not mean that ArenaNet's going to leave us unpleased. Today we've got a new Blog Post on how the writing team of Guild Wars 2 comes up with all of these cool names.
Annie VanderMeer Mitsoda member of the game's Personal Story team, takes us behind the scenes of the naming process. The world of Guild Wars 2 is full of creatures, locations and items each one of them in need of a way to be called. Moreover, if you are fond of RPing, reading today's post may inspire you on finding the right name for your toon.

Names in Guild Wars 2 have
their origins in many different sources — real-world lore, established
game naming schemes, onomatopoeia, outside media, cheeky references to
Colin Johanson, and — of course — button mashing (although obviously
that last one isn’t meant to be permanent). |
Check out this brand new post on the official Blog, right
here.

Re: ArenaNet: Naming Tyria
"Onomatopoeia"??? A Japanese-origin english-speaking author of lore, uses a genuine greek word... OK, Like+1.:)
EDIT: she is NOT of Japanese origin (probably her husband is) but of Nederlands... Like remains ^^
