It’s been a Hell of a Year [Update #1]

It's already been twelve months. Twelve months full of joy, excitement, new people and countless hours of team work. Who could ever imagine that a group of friends with a shared love for video games could achieve so much in so little time?
Dragon Season is celebrating the first year of its life and due to the occasion of its birthday on the 17th of October we, the people behind the site, would like to say a huge "Thank you"! Your support has set the standard very high. With about
400,000 visits within a total of twelve months, our community has embraced more and more fans of Guild Wars 2.
But we don't need too many words for occasions such as this and we want to take a step further, we are organizing a set of activities for the coming days:
- On
October 18th, Thursday, we're celebrating the birthday of Dragon Season and we're inviting you all to an open dinner. Come and let's all dine and talk about our favorite game.
The meeting will take place in Patras (Greece), in the restaurant "El Greco" (Trion Navarchon 52), at 9:00 pm and during it we're going to give away codes for Guild Wars 2 in-game items!

On October 20th, Saturday, we'll be actively participating in the Pink Day in LA. We’ll be organizing the event for our world (Aurora Glade) in Guild Wars 2, in an attempt to raise funds to support the work of the
Canadian Cancer Society.

On November the 1st, Thurday, we're invited in Users, a radio talk show of Greek radio station Sentra FM 103.3. It's at 7:00 pm that day and it will be centered on Guild Wars 2, from the perspective of our community.
Some lucky listeners will be able to win their own copy of Guild Wars 2! (Cancelled)

The day after (11/3/2012) at 6:00 pm we'll be organizing the first unofficial Guild Wars 2 event in Greece! We'll be waiting for you at the Gazi College in Athens (Persephonis 53, Gazi). We kindly please everyone who intends to be there to let us know, just using a simple comment here under this very blog post.
During the event, codes for Guild Wars 2 in-game items will be given away. (Due to high demand we had to change the venue of the meeting. Instead of Gazi College the meeting will take place at "FRIDAYS" in Athens - Neofytou Vamva 2 Kolonaki. Same time and date.)
- Since the radio event was cancelled, we came up with a better idea which we will announce in the upcoming days.
So, what are you waiting for? Mark the date on your organizer and stay tuned. The best is yet to come!
At this point,
we'd like to thank from the depths of our hearts both ArenaNet and NCsoft for putting their trust in us all this time. They are the ones who kindly offer all the gifts we'll be giving away in everything we've planned.
P.S.: We are aware that most of our events take place in Greece and, unfortunately, this may leave our international friends outside of our celebration, but right now it's within our power to organize events only in Greece. However, we do encourage our international friends to organize respective Dragon Season events in the future in their areas of residence if they so desire and we'd be more than happy to support it by letting everyone know.

Obviously, we can't come to Greece. But hey, depending on my work schedule, we may be able to go to our Greek restaurant on October 18. We'll be there with you in spirit - or something like that. ;)
